CAM provides SERVICE

CAM provides food, clothing, financial assistance, miscellaneous items, and referrals to other agencies for clients who qualify. All individuals are welcome at CAM. No appointments necessary, and we have no zip code or demographic restrictions. Feel free to visit us at either of the locations below:

CAM Downtown:

CAM provides FOOD

Food is provided in two ways:

A sack lunch is given to homeless clients. It consists of a sandwich, fresh fruit, nuts/chips and something sweet as well as a drink. Homeless clients may come to CAM daily to receive one of these lunches. If we are out, we direct clients to other locations near us that offer meals for homeless.

Groceries are provided to clients once every two months. Grocery amounts are given based on the number of people in the household. CAM then connects clients to steady food resources in their neighborhood or to other assistance programs if needed. 


Financial assistance may be provided for clients once in a 12-month period (contingent on funding):

Utilities: Provided and paid directly to the utility company at a minimum of $25 with disconnect notice.
CAM may enroll families in a special Bexar County program (if they qualify) that may pay their entire bill.

CAM provides I.D. RECOVERY only on Mondays at the Downtown Location. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Northwest Location

ID recovery is offered once in a 12 month period and may include Driver’s license, TX ID, and Birth Certificates for the following reasons:

•A job offer for full-time employment.

•As a requirement for housing, food stamps, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) /Texas Department of Human Services.

•Birth Certificates for children entering school


Prescriptions at a maximum of $40 (based on funding)

Bus tickets/passes (with a verified medical appointment, job interviews or starting full-time job)

Miscellaneous assistance or assistance in a larger amount may be considered by a case basis; however is more likely through a referral process.


Every start of the school year, CAM provides required supplies for students to have the necessary tools to be successful.


Clients can receive clothing once every TWO months.

Seasonal items such as coats, jackets and sweaters will be given once from October – March.


Mail distribution is a free service to our clients to receive mail using the CAM Center as a mailing address. There is a special room dedicated to this purpose, which provides privacy and ease of retrieval. Clients must visit CAM’s downtown office and fill out a short form to receive mail services. A photo ID is required for all mail services.

CAM provides

Bible study is a special ministry provided to our clients.
Volunteers meet with clients to discuss books of the Bible and applications for today’s world, and to offer prayer. This is offered every morning for our clients.

In addition, Bibles in Spanish and English are provided to clients once in a 12 month period.

Prayer and prayer request-clients are able to receive prayer during the interview process, write prayer requests down and leave at CAM. These are prayed over by CAM volunteers.

CAM leaves spiritual tracts around our client building for those clients seeking guidance and understanding.
